Sea lions are the largest representative of the family of eared seals. Also known as Steller's northern sea lion.

We invite you to visit the south-western coast of Sakhalin - the sea lion rookery near Nevelsk, which is one of three unique places in the world where sea lions settle in the immediate vicinity of the settlement. The other two are located in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and the American Seattle. Every year in the second half of winter you are able tocan see up to 500 seals that sail to the old brekvater of the Nevelsky port and stay there until the end of June.
